Who am I?
My name is Shannon Maguire and I am a mom of three adult children, I am 58 years old. I’ve been a personal trainer and small group teacher for the last 14 years, but I’ve been an athlete all my life. I was a gymnast as a preteen, a diver in high school, and a weight lifter and competitive body builder in college. After having three babies I took up racquetball and walking and lost 20 lbs. I then became an avid runner and added swimming and biking to my workouts. I’ve competed in marathons, four Ironmen, six Half-Ironmen, Tough Mudder, adventure races, and body competitions. I’ve even hosted my own Covid-19 themed triathlon.
What am I passionate about?
I love helping others achieve their fitness goals, from training for a sporting event to improving their quality of life. I give people the skills and enthusiastic support they need, whether it’s to lose weight, reshape their body, enhance sports performance, train for a marathon or triathlon - or just be able to pick up a grandchild.
Who do I work with?
I enjoy working with everyone. I have athletic clients who enjoy the challenge of kettlebells and TRX dynamic workouts that are fast, fun and high calorie-burning. I help new moms get back into shape, lose weight and gain more energy for their busy lives.
I especially love working with seniors to increase their strength, balance and flexibility. I can do this in their own home, at Supreme Health and Fitness, Verona Senior Center or in my home gym, Love to Be Fit. To learn more, please read my page on seniors.
